I have always been interested in education, and began teaching in Boston Public Schools eleven years ago. I teach 8th grade ELA at the James P. Timilty Middle School, in Roxbury, MA. I am also a graduate of Belmont Day School, BB&N, and Wellesley College. My areas of interest are educational policy regarding improving pedagogy, reforming teacher evaluations, as well as improving the quality and relevance of professional development for teachers. I am also interested in what the adoption of the Common Core Standards and what they might mean for curriculum reform and initiative to promote whole school improvements.
